3 decades old bounty had gone to 3 million dollars plus. Iranian extremists would not let his book The Satanic Verses go. Raised bounty again in 2016

The good thing is it happened in the US and will probably get better ER care than numerous other countries. Wonder what the bail on this suspect is going to be although being the nature he should be Gitmoed.

Biden, in a statement posted to Twitter on Sunday, said he’s “angered and saddened by the horrific killings.” He added that “these hateful attacks have no place in America.”

“While we await a full investigation, my prayers are with the victims’ families, and my Administration stands strongly with the Muslim community,” he said.

after the suspect killer of the four muslim men was arrested and a muslim.....crickets from biden.

The killer turned out to be an Afghan refugee?

Not a recent one, but yes, he’s from Afghanistan. He is a Sunni and the men who were killed were Shia. Seems like it was some type of interpersonal thing.

Maybe not though. We have seen comedians being attacked on stage due to the frail minded nature of certain members of the audience that are so easily offended these days so a controversial writer could also be a target for these idiots.

Of course with inflation being so bad and a looming recession that could get ugly having $3 Million bucks in your back pocket could give one peace of mind.

You are probably right though. The attack is about the fatwah. Celebrate diversity folks!

Unfortunately, one of the costs of fame is that you are at greater risk from certain fringe individuals. Hopefully Salman Rushdie is able to recuperate.

I hope Rushdie survives this attack. He is such a courageous man. A translator of Satanic Verses was killed in 1991 and at least two have been injured in deadly attacks.

An attack on Rushdie. Foiled plot to kill Bolton and close to a nuke. Nah they're not as radical as the year they took over the embassy 40 years ago.

That's more honest than what he did with the Atlanta spa shootings.
