My theory is that wokeism is Ronald Reagan's fault because he let a bunch of lunatics out of mental hospitals, who subsequently procreated and produced the current batch of bat crap insane woke idiots.

Why would you assume only Democrats are inflicted by the woke illness ? And there have been plenty of examples to explain what being "woke" is. It cracks me up that people try to play dumb and deny that it is actually a term. It just describes something that has good intentions but for whatever reason went to extreme.
I'm not denying that it's a widely-used term. Certainly, it is that. I'm stating that I do not understand what it's supposed to mean. And while I cannot be certain that only Democrats are woke, I've never heard the term used to refer to Republicans. Have you?
It is precisely because the United States is diverse that there is wokeism in this country.
We had a Civil Rights movement. We got rid of Jim Crow laws. We instituted affirmative action. But still, that didn’t solve the race issue.
So, what else are you going to do? Kind of running out of ideas at this point.
Wokeism has gone far beyond Jim Crow and it's stupidity.
Heck, comedians can't say anything without someone getting Butthurt over it. Half if not all of what we heard from comedians in the 70's is banned today because some crybaby snowflake got upset over it.
I have absolutely no idea what any of you mean when you toss around the term "wokeism" to denigrate Democrats. I must be out of the loop.
The first time I ever saw the term "woke" displayed was when I saw a democrat commentator on the news proudly wearing a button that said "woke" on it. And I wondered what the heck is that all about, and that was about roughly 8 or 9 years ago.
The term "woke" came from that loop as a self-described movement. All I know is that it doesn't look for anything good in me. Which makes me sad.
A recent philosophy that came out of Anglo Saxon academia system has now become a dominant philosophy. It's not only the right that dislikes woke ideology, but also many on the center and the left due to woke ideology being critical agaisnt liberalism and Enlightenment values. Two videos on YouTube explained by experts look to find the origins of woke ideology. One academic states that woke ideology comes from Anglo Saxon protestant ideology like puritanism, while another states that woke ideology has Marxist origins. Me on the other hand. I can see that woke ideology has origins in Marxism and anglo Saxon protestantism. Anglo Saxon protestantism is one of the foundations of the United States btw. Btw im catholic and I don't see eye to with Marxism and at times don't see eye to eye with Anglo Saxon protestantism. Watch the videos below.
No idea where it came from but I wish it would die off, it'd be great for America moving forward to toughen up again instead of being hypersensitive snowflakes like a lot of todays kids. Wokism needs to go back to Hell.

This is partially true. We also need a universally agreed definition for what is "racist" so that those on the Left cant just keep massaging the definition of that term to label people racist when they simply disagree with them on some random topic.
personally i see wokism as hypersensitivity to stupid nonsense(ie preferred pronouns). I prefer facts over feelings. Wokism is too much about feelings and not enough about facts.
