I thought the Left was against capital punishment?
Except criticizing Trump/thinking he should be have consequences if he broke the law doesn’t make someone ‘on the left’, nor a Democrat (and I…and an number of others I know who don’t approve of Trump….were frustrated with the decision not to prosecute Hillary (No intent?….)).

The guy gotta to accused, criminal trial, and found guilty, and probably a few more inbetween steps.
Until these things happen, I would not even speculate.
The "allegations" are no longer political (Impeachment and Senate vote of confidence). But could be civil or criminal.
I often wonder why would a person cause oneself so much problems when one can stay within the guidelines of common sense. It's not that hard and a whole lot cheaper than hiring lawyers.

I feel one is brewing right now. I have a feeling Trump will be found guilty. Of course they will find something even if it is something they plant. There will be an uproar and I think people will have finally have had enough. People know they will cheat again to win in 2024. No way they will allow losing in 2024. The have lots more to accomplish and no way will they allow a republican back in office to undo their destruction. They are dead set that won't happen. Cue Civil War.

And about that "raid"... seems I remember hearing that the FBI (something like 30 stormtroopers) insisted that the lawyer who happened to be present leave. They cleared the place. Why? Were they afraid a lawyer or a maid would pose some sort of threat? And they insisted that the security system be disabled. What that does is leave the possibility wide open that those stormtroopers actually planted something incriminating on the premises. What was to stop them from doing that? Nothing. We live in very, very dangerous times. Especially if we are not fans of the current regime. And it will only get worse.
I'd suspect the next step is something akin to Argentina in the late 1970s and 1980s: "desaparecidos" (influential political opponents of the government mysteriously disappearing). From there it will go downhill until we have what I have been posting here over and over. That is, of course, unless something stops it. I'm becoming very doubtful that will be the ballot box--the ballot box has been compromised.
Some of the information was top secret. Honestly, I can’t see how even a Trump loyalist tries to spin this.
They just need to cut to the chase and go with the "FBI planted it" narrative... The FBI just tossed a few nuclear secrets in among all the newspaper clippings and pictures that Trump innocently took from the White House to Palm Beach.
They're going to put whatever they need to in that warrant. It may well be true, but anyone who thinks for even one second that the current administration wouldn't make things up is nothing short of daft.
It's a sorry state we find ourselves in. They've been trying to get him for full on 6 years now. If this current thing was really a big deal, why in the hell has it taken them over 18 months of a new adminsitration to go get the docs? C'mon.

There won't be a civil war. Is all that is going to happen are a bunch of people are either going to get themselves arrested or killed.
