Not only is sex work degrading towards the men and women who participate in it and solicit it, but why would that be what you respond to a 14 year old girl when all she asked for was some food?
This worker was rightfully fired. Anyone that tells children to prostitute themselves has no place being around children.
Was this Child Protection worker once a prostitute herself?
Was she trying to set the girl up so she could be her Pimp?
Was she trying to scare the girl straight?
Her mother sought help because the girl was sneaking out and getting into trouble. A 14 year old girl on the mean streets is either going to end up as a prostitute or dead.
I guess the worker is lucky that she didn't tell the girl that she was going to end up in a dumpster dead because she could have been charged with a crime.
Still it is not right to frighten or encourage a girl to be a prostitute.
I'm not seeing how telling a young girl to become a prostitute is protecting her. What kind a of a screwball would give such advice? Maybe just a pimp daylighting as a CPS worker?
This is sadly just more of the "new normal" of Progressives, the same group that has been trying to sexualize kids in ways that would have been considered child abuse just a few years ago. Sex for money is just the next step. I am sure that the Ex-CPS worker saw nothing wrong with telling someone going into the "sex trades". The good thing is that the 14-year-old girl had enough sense to know that it was wrong and didn't take her up on her suggestion.
Did anyone ever ask the CPS worker how many other girls she has told this to? Telling it to one person is bad enough, but if she told this to one it would be naive to think that she hasn't told this to others. How many took her up on her comment?
The girl's mom has 9 children and can't afford to take care of them. This is why some people are pro abortion in some circumstances. And welfare incentives need to be revamped. Did she have all 9 kids despite living in poverty because she got more benefit money that way? If that's the case maybe we could incentivize people in to putting those kids up for adoption by compensating them in a similar amount as they would have received in bennies if they raised the child in the impoverished family home. If they are spitting these kids out simply for their monetary value let's find a way to get them in to better homes.

According to the video, linked by the New York Post, the mother of the child stated that the worker did state she once prostituted herself for money. I do not think we have a way of knowing whether this worker was trying to pimp out this girl.

people like that rarely think or plan. most likely she just had lots of impulsive, unprotected sex with multiple partners. probably does lots of other impulsive things as well.
Let's be clear who this child protective services support worker was, this was not the case worker or the social worker. Chances are very good that she was a “house parent“ at a temporary group home for older children located in a hotel. Based on what was said in the video the woman told the child she had once been a prostitute. The fact of the matter is we don’t get the best people to work in these facilities because the pay is so low.
Child protective services was recommending the return of the child to the family at the court hearing the lawyer is complaining about when he is talking about it being wrong that they didn’t disclose the video. If CPS was recommending the child be returned home and she wasn’t then it is because the mother told the court the child was too out of control for her to take back.
Nothing was good about the situation, nothing. She is one of nine children and mom doesn’t look all that old. You have a child so out of control that her mother asked the state to take her and that is not normal - usually it goes the opposite direction and parent is fighting like a mad dog to keep their child. That is a really bad sign for this kid’s future and probably her eight siblings.
