I read about this incident on this site last week, I believe. It is no longer surprising. It is the same demographic that has been causing trouble in almost every major city.
It has always been an issue, but since Summer of 2020 (George Floyd’s death), a large number of the protests turned violent, and when they started causing trouble downtown and in nice neighborhoods without any repercussions (as cops are afraid to police for fear of legal and career ramifications), they realized they are no longer limited to acting up in bad neighborhoods. Now you see this type in behavior everywhere and it’s no longer limited to bad neighborhoods.
Until there are harsh punishments and people collectively stand up to these people’s bad behavior, this will only get worse.
And here is another example of how "going light on crime" has resulted in even more crime. Luckily no LEO's , or innocent bystanders were killed or injured. Sadly someone or a family is without a vehicle now. So, why are we seeing policy's like this going on across our country in our major cities ? Who is responsible ? Why are people not getting fed up with this ?
According to police, the 14-year-old was the getaway driver. He was out on $800 bond following an incident where he shot his girlfriend. A Detroit police officer says he was wearing the same shirt he was first arrested in during the chase.
And the crazy thing, is when these thugs turn 18, they will be kicked out of juvenile detention, their records expunged and then they can start all over with living the thug life.
What’s to be said about these attacks anymore? The rate of black violence is ridiculously high. Seems that’s not improving and it’s getting worse so people need to protect their loved ones.
Moving into a safe neighborhood is a great option. I moved from a lifetime of living in the Los Angeles area to the Midwest and things like this don’t happen here. Not the most “diverse” neighborhood in the country. But definitely one of the safest.
Unfortunately, many safe neighborhoods are no longer immune to this. During the riots after George Floyd’s death, they realized that they can cause trouble in downtown and nice neighborhoods without repercussions. Ransacking high end stores, causing trouble downtown and nicer neighborhoods, etc. There are likely some nice neighborhoods left, but depending on where you live, it’s no guarantee that they won’t cause trouble there. They don’t tend to frequent out to nice suburbs that aren’t accessible by public transportation, so I guess there is some relief.
You can guess the race with 95% accuracy with many of these headlines. But it's racism that made them act like this! The left peddling the victim and entitlement mentality among the black culture and keeping them oppressed to get their vote... maybe. Stirring up anger among a group of people is generally not a good idea.
Throw in literally no repercussions for juveniles committing crimes in many of these blue cities and this is the result. Strange how Chinese leftists are authoritarians that don't let you get away with anything and American lefties are anarchists who let you get away with everything... except criticizing covid policies or saying there are 2 genders.. you will get fact checked and censored for that.
It's fascinating watching human nature... the herd mentality of these cultist progressives... so predictable and sheepish.

No bail release has contributed to soaring violence as has woke DAs who refuse to prosecute crimes and woke judges who hand out light sentences. Then you have governors emptying prisons during Covid so murders, rapists, and other violent thugs didn't get what was essentially a flu bug that only killed the old or infirm. The violent riots inadvertently taught a lot of young criminals how to engage in mob theft and smash-and-grabs, vehicle break ins, car jacking, car break ins.
Many cities have defacto war zones right now. I never thought I would see the day. There have always been a handful of very dangerous areas in a handful of large cities, but Portland? Minneapolis? Austin? It is becoming widespread.

Sadly you are correct. And stating so doesn't make one racist, it's just calling out the facts. How do we change it though ? The Left has used this demographic as political pawns for decades, it's generations thick now, and has unfortunately shaped a culture.

I left California 8 years ago.
After attempting to teach ghetto teenagers unsuccessfully for 3 decades, I retired and moved to Maui. Very safe yet also non-white. The difference is that there are virtually no black people here.
I started teaching again, due to the extreme teacher shortage, and the teenagers here are awesome! It is the life I always dreamed of.
I would never move back to California. Many of my friends and family have also now moved to other states.
Not a single one of these azzholes will ever be rehabilitated. They will create mayhem and probably murder until they are dead. Execute all 4 of them now!
