Is the assumption here that the 20 cases of fraud resulted in votes for Democrats?

Fraud is fraud, and those involved should be punished accordingly.

And there would have been recounts. There are systems in place when the electionis are that close.

And yeah -- cite some links we would love to read how the state election officials proceeded with ensuring the official outcomes of these elections.

So be clear, there is always a few cases of election fraud in any election.

BUT there has never been and has never proven to be any SIGNIFICANT election fraud that would change the outcome of an election.

The fact that 20 voters -- or one voter in some case can be found to be guilty of fraud suggests our election systems do a pretty good job of weeding out the criminals.

DeSantis seems mighty proud his people found 20 cases..

Yes, there were several recounts in the Iowa Second Congressional District, which was decided by six votes. But, it took Florida two years to investigate and charge twenty people with voter fraud. Meaning, that if fraud had occurred in this Iowa district, it would not have been caught in time, and, potentially, would have fraudulently changed the outcome of the election in Iowa's Second Congressional District.

Why would he not be proud for upholding the rule of law?

I'm pretty sure the 20 were only in Broward/Miami Dade area. They haven't finished the audits/check for the rest of the state.

So, the number could go up.

Whether or not "fraud" is considered to have any significant impact, for voter fraud, perception is reality. For all voters.

Exactly. Plus, as another poster said, "it sends a message" which is what I think he is really doing here. Good job, Governor!

So the difference is -- when an election is by such a narrow window, there is an immediate recount, examination of votes. etc.

What happened in Florida was there was zero evidence of any kind of fraud, there was no contested races and they found 20 votes over a bunch of counties (not in one district even) that were votes made by felons primarily who shouldn't have voted.

So maybe Florida's system isn't so good right?

Because in most states you can't register to vote if you are a felon?

What is the state doing that allowed these people to register to vote?

I am unsure what you are trying to get at and you managed to contradict yourself. The Governor's new department of election integrity found twenty people who committed voter fraud, and are seeking to charge and prosecute them.
