Not at all surprising. Pretty young blonde girls are the "chosen ones" in America. All men of all races want one.

Of course it is. They even call it Missing White Woman Syndrome.

I listen to a podcast that covers cases of missing or murdered black, Latino, or indigenous women. Most of their cases never made the news.

Remember when everyone was searching for Gabby Petito? Did anyone know an Asian-American woman named Lauren Cho (from NJ) was also missing out west at the same time? Her remains have since been found in the desert.

It's late summer.

It's Missing White Girl season.

Every year. /shrug/

Apparently no one goes missing ever during winter.

It tugs on so many people's heart strings. The media knows this. That feeling of "it could be my daughter or sister going missing".

Oh the victimhood. It’s pretty disgusting when all people can talk about is that a missing white girl got some coverage when her dead body was found. WTH?

Who says all missing people can’t get coverage when stuff like this happens? In fact, people of all colors get coverage in circumstances like this. If you don’t think they get enough coverage then write your local news and demand it, or create online coverage.

Every year.

I call it "The missing pretty white girl of the week" report.
Probably won't change.
Ever.

On the other hand if some "promising young athlete" who is black is killed outside a bar at 1 AM they can't talk about that enough, either.
