The woman who fumed “f–k New York” after she was randomly slapped on a Manhattan train last week said she’s considering ditching her hometown for Florida.
Vesly Beato, 22, bashed the current crime streak in the Big Apple with a now-viral TikTok video following the unprovoked attack — and continued doing so in a Wednesday night interview with The Post.
“I don’t feel that comfortable in New York anymore,” she said from her mother’s Upper Manhattan apartment. “It’s not the same … New York is not what it used to be.”
Beato’s change of heart came after she was smacked across the face by a man on a northbound 1 train last Friday while on her way home to Inwood in a random assault that left a mark on her nose.
. . .
The Manhattanite said she never thought she’d leave New York, but her perspective has “completely changed” since she was smacked across the face.
“I’m now seeing moving to different states as a possibility,” she told The Post.
“I’ve been considering Florida,” she said. “I recently visited Florida and it was amazing. The way of living is extremely different.”
Yes, Florida is different with an extremely different way of living. As more and more people consider moving to one of the bastions of freedom in these United States, I hope that they (like this woman) don't bring their destructive voting patterns with them as it will ensure that places like Florida aren't any different than NY.
Unless your job compels you, why the hell would anyone want to live in the city anyways? Parts of Connecticut/Long Island sure. But NYC? It's always been a dirty, ugly city with little nature.

NYC will always have a special place in my heart, but I'm with you today.
my kid has been begging to see the statue of liberty, but i'm hoping we can do that via boat without having to go into NYC proper.
Staten island ferry is a pretty nice ride for visitors, or in this case, your kid. You'll end up (or start in) lower manhattan, but probably worth it. Alternatively, you can take the actual ferry to the Statue from jersey city.

It sounds like the slap, jarred some common sense loose into that woman.
WHY would anyone want to live in a city where the elected coddle the criminals and don't care about the victims?
It has to be incredibly stressful to walk the street and ride the subway in NYC. The good people in that city could be developing PTSD just for living there. The constant fear and worry of becoming a victim can really eat away at a decent person.
