That is a good point. There are several countries they could have stopped in along the way to escape the "prosecution" and "certain death" they were facing but they didn't because they know as they sing in the show "West Side Story" " EVERYTHING FREE IN AMERICA".

Thanks Brandon you have thrown our Flag on the ground and they are using it like a door mat.

Because Canada isn't stupid when it comes to open borders. You need more than pulse to set up shop.

No wonder so many Hollywood types want to run there.

But they're far more left leaning in Canada. You would think they would be super inviting being that leftists are all about diversity, inclusion, equality, combined with the perpetual bleeding heart.

I think Haiti and Cuba are more dangerous to travel....boats in the ocean.

There seems to be plenty of funny money south of our border to help these illegals travel here.
They show up with new clothes, brand name backpacks, etc.

How dangerous can it be when their white sneakers are still WHITE ?????

Why did these people not claim asylum in neighbouring countries as should be the standard? Any number of localities with statistically safer communities could have accepted them like Chile, Panama or Costa Rica. Instead they're making dangerous journeys thousands of miles across continents to a culturally foreign land with different customs and languages. We all probably know the reasons why though.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...agreement.html

Quote:
The Safe Third Country Agreement between Canada and the United States (U.S.) is part of the U.S.–Canada Smart Border Action Plan.

Under the Agreement, refugee claimants are required to request refugee protection in the first safe country they arrive in, unless they qualify for an exception to the Agreement.

The Agreement helps both governments better manage access to the refugee system in each country for people crossing the Canada–U.S. land border. The two countries signed the Agreement on December 5, 2002, and it came into effect on December 29, 2004.

To date, the U.S. is the only country that is designated as a safe third country by Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

The Agreement does not apply to U.S. citizens or habitual residents of the U.S. who are not citizens of any country (“stateless persons”).
It just so happens, it is easier for migrants to arrive by land to the U.S than it is to Canada. Basic geography is only needed to come to that conclusion.

Why couldn’t they stop in Mexico? Mexico is a stable country.
