We buy A2A2 milk, buttermilk, premium yougurts with active biotics, and premium cheeses.

A problem of milk production is highly cyclical in a world that demands a steady stream.
A another is demographics; Fewer children, older people.
Capital intensive and labor intensive.

That's an important distinction. Not everyone who is liberal is anti dairy. I'm not. I have eaten less of it for a long time because it's healthier but this is my personal choice and not one I would inflict on others and I agree there just isn't a dairy free cheese that tastes good.

How did you make that leap?

Yes you have, but it would be part of something else.
It is very good as a stand alone meat dish.

alas the Americans are isolated themselves in their minds although they are a stew of prior nationalities.

How much milk and/cheese do you eat/mn?

"Drink Milk"
We do our part, but it's mostly imported A2A2 from Canada. Why because the US producers are slow to change, to adapt (cost to acquire and momentum of status quo).
We do eat a lot of hard cheeses, mostly European but moving towards domestic US cheeses which are getting getting better.

I am not a "lefty" but a reasonable consumer and tax paper.

My mother used to cook it when I was little. She ended up eating it all herself. Nobody else in the family would touch it.

But seriously, why do you think lefties don't like cows?
Is that not one of the most bizarre anti-liberal thread titles you've seen here?

Well, I for one lean left, but nobody sent me the damn memo. I love my cheese and ice cream, and you don't want to be around me in the morning if there's no half-and-half for my cawfee.

How do these same off-kilter individuals who claim places like Canada and Vermont are "socialist" explain the proliferation of dairy farms and cheese products in both places?

It's a little scary tasting something knowing it's tasting you back.
