Marjorie Taylor Greene says it’s “wrong” for the Republican Party to go after independent voters, rejects it as “traditional political thinking.”

https://twitter.com/patriottakes/sta...70777677963265

Which is understandable, I suppose, as Independents would demand an actual platform of policies, something the GOP decided was no longer necessary. Because their entire platform consists of four words: Whatever Donald Trump Wants. That's it, that's their entire platform. They literally have nothing else they aspire towards. Nothing. And no Independents are going to go for that.

It's funny that she assumes Trump is growing the party.

So basically she wants the Republican Party to stay as a small tent party.

I wouldn't have any idea who MTG was if it wasn't for you lefties. She would be a nobody politically if you weren't always so busy carrying her message.

I think she is under the mistaken impression that Trump continues to expand the GOP. She thinks MAGAs alone will carry the party to victory. No one said she was smart.

Saw the title and thought she was talking about politicians who call themselves independent but caucus with the Republicans.

But trying to cater to every voter can make most party's policies and stances diluted, fuzzy, meaningless etc. Sometimes one has to take the good with the bad. They say many are single issue voters already.

If there were RINO voters that supported the first trillion dollar bailout on Biden's 'relief' bill a year ago I wouldn't want them in the party. How can fiscal conservatives approve trillions in money as the virus is winding down. A little here or there ok that conservative but big big spending like those bills a year ago nah. I was also against Trump when he proposed so "infrastructure' spending including airports. It makes him a populist not conservative.

This is another reason there needs to be stronger 3rd, 4th and 5th parties. It's not the land of either or although the old two wants the public to think like that..

Too soon guys. Just too soon.

Gotta give these memes a little time before launching into blatant hypocrisy.

SNL even had Manchin in a sketch lobbying for child coal mining.

Glad you can benefit from the knowledge. I know the right wing is a bit more exclusive in where they get their information.
Mtg is one of trumps favorites. So she is worth keeping an eye on and following.

So, she wants the party to LOSE?

Interesting.

Not what she said but doesn't surprise me considering the source. I understand what she's saying and I agree.
