I do feel bad for them, because if they cannot afford food, maybe they can't afford a car.
So they have to walk, or ride a bus or call a cab....and then to find out they can't get food that day for their children...so they have wasted that time, and maybe money to get there, then maybe they watch their children go hungry for the night?
"they can't get food that day for their children..."
These slugs are not starving. A few hours without food, is not starving.
Oh, The Children. So you let all your food dwindle to the last drop? You sorry fools - always have an excuse for the slouches.
Do I think some deserve Food stamps, Sure—Not all.
Jobs are out there, get 3 or 4, I don't care how many you work. Stop feeding off the tax payers and crying, your food stamp card is not working. Most of these folks have been on it for YEARS. They know how to work they "SYSTEM"..
My relative knows some people in the area that get enough from the local food pantry that they then sell their EBT benefits to a family member and then use THAT money to buy their meth.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not condemning all of SNAP etc. but is it heavily abused? Oh heck yeah it is.
If you don't want to critically think, that's your problem.
I used to flip burgers and I did something about it, some of my former coworkers are still flipping burgers.
Not everyone wants to be fed in this world.
I’m not arguing that food stamps should even be a thing. I’m saying it IS a thing and I’m dealing in the reality of it. If a person could not get their food during the one chance they had that week - freaking out is not an unreasonable response.
The ones who need to think critically are the ones spewing the same R talking points that people who get food stamps don’t work, are lazy, don’t want to help themselves. While some ARE, it’s a fallacy to generalize it to ALL recipients. Why will not any of you admit that some people truly are in need?
I worked in gov't housing projects and what I saw would make your blood boil!
The waste, fraud and abuse in the fed is a downright sin!
Except that that’s only a tiny portion of people in the grand scheme. Sure, maybe those are the lifers! But most people just are not. Please expand your horizons.
