Argentina’s vice president survived an assassination attempt late Thursday after a gunman’s weapon jammed as he tried to shoot her at close range outside her home, the country's leader said.

Vice President Cristina Fernández was unharmed in the incident, which has rocked the South American nation already racked by turmoil due to spiraling inflation and her trial on corruption charges she denies.

Was that a Taurus? I would not be surprised considering how it performed.

...for a job that 'up close and personal' my choice would be a revolver...chance of my 38 S&W jamming is slim to none...

I guess that gunman was expecting more bang for his buck. Thank goodness for the mechanical failure, or whatever the issue was.

The description doesn't do the video justice or show/tell how close they came to being assassinated.

The assassin was a Brazilian national possibly trying to send a message about Brazil's upcoming election and who the candidates align themselves with.

Biden's / Liberal's world. 3 Embassy evacuations under Biden so far. Ukraine lost. Afghanistan abandoned / surrendered. Shinzo Abe assassinated. Now this attempt.

All because of the mean tweets and some butthurt egos that liberals couldn't admit they were wrong, and conservatives wouldn't say they were sowwy they were such meanies when they were in the right.

Everything goes to hell worldwide when there's a weak leader in the White House.

Carter, Obama, Biden, etc. I would say Clinton but the Congress was able to keep him in check.
