Great job, Governor! Keep up the great work!

California should not be telling the residents of Virginia what type of vehicle they can drive, nor should the Governor of Virginia be allowed to tell their residents what type of vehicle they can drive.

"In an effort to turn Virginia into California, liberal politicians who previously ran our government sold Virginia out by subjecting Virginia drivers to California vehicle laws," Youngkin wrote in a statement on Twitter. "Now, under that pact, Virginians will be forced to adopt the California law that prohibits the sale of gas and diesel-fueled vehicles."

"I am already at work to prevent this ridiculous edict from being forced on Virginians. California’s out of touch laws have no place in our Commonwealth," he continued.

how could that even happen? i would be 80 kinds of pissed off if my state's leadership piggybacked some other state's legislation - some other state where i have no voting say whatsoever.

Colorado did it as well, yet Democrats in Colorado scoff at those who worry about Colorado turning into a mini California.

That's lazy regulating using California as a sub contractor to write another state's regulations. But it's more because this how they will and have spread 'California' like a disease.

At least in California, I believe there's a limited exception for the sale of plug-in hybrids, which can use gasoline or stored charge. I'd expect the number of gas stations will steadily decrease as this goes into effect though, so visitors from out of state will probably need to rent.

The car dealerships in neighboring NV, AZ and OR are salivating at no more ICE cars being sold in CA in the future.

De facto.

The Royalty in that state will simply issue an edict that requires the price of fuel to be so high that only the elite and royalty will be able to afford such "luxuries" (in this case gas or electric vehicles). The serfs will either be walking, on a stinky city bus, or their butts will be on a scooter or bike. That is if anyone in Kalifornia survives to 2035 besides the elites.
