The left: anything that negativity impacts America, will disproportionately impact people of color.
Also the left: let’s shutdown the world for 2.5 years over a 99% survival rate virus.
Is it no wonder crime is out of control, students are more ignorant, inflation is up, cost of living is up. Global supply chains are disrupted. We’re about to head into a recession.
What did the left think was going to happen? That you can just shutdown and start up the economy like a light switch? Monkeypox! Ebola! Better shutdown the world!
What is the criteria for shutting down the world over a pandemic? Well it sure as hell isn’t a 99% survival rate virus. How many billions were spent on bailing out businesses with PPP loans? The chickens are coming home to roost.
Why is it that people cannot finish the accuracy of their statement? I guess I need to help again. With the pre-Omicron variants, 8% experienced "long COVID". And the hospitals were positively overwhelmed during some outbreaks all the while people were "locked down". Now if you were a pulmonologist, ICU, or ER doc, you cannot forget those details that you intentionally left out to prove your point.
I have no problem with your opinion. But at least properly state what the Hell went on versus doing your best to minimize the reality.
By the way, "2.5" years? Go buy a calendar and give us an accurate timeframe. Oh yea, things could have been addressed a lot better. It was a cluster-you-know-what.
It was aimed at me, a mom who was speaking up for kids. Just an fyi, my kids did fine overall academically because I was able to work with them and help them. It was rough for them emotionally because zoom school is not normal and the isolation imposed on them was very difficult. I see how it impacted their friends as well. So many kids were struggling. Now we have data showing how badly it hurt kids both emotionally and academically. The masses who mocked parents who spoke up still don’t care. They’d rather continuing mocking.
I’m aware that you were just being rude just to be rude but your post was a great example of what people did during covid, including yourself to try to silence people for speaking up about restrictions, including school closures and the harm they were causing harm to kids. Especially poor kids.
I'm noticing a theme: You have a tendency to read into words like no other. From vaccine taglines to how you interpret data. I'll add this one ^^ to the growing list.

"Trust in Science". " I stand with Dr. Fauci". "Save the Grandma". ""Protect the Teachers". "Teachers are heros".
That's the extent of Cultists thinking. And if the god damn Supreme Court hadn't ****ed the abortion issue, there would be a Republican Governor in Illinois next year.

They were warned and all they did was mock and ridicule us. Called us Grandma killers and some even wished death upon on those of us who were not on board.. They were data adverse all the while declaring their allegiance to Fauci and “the Science”. It was very cult like. They will never admit it.

I’ve noticed several themes as well but in the interest of keeping this thread on topic I will leave it at this.
This should make the progressive-minded among us who supported school closures pause and ask ourselves if we got this one right -- and what we could learn from this whole debacle.
I read that, too. How shocking for a progressive to admit progressives were wrong. Our C-D friends on the left should read it and learn from it. I’d love to hear what Suzy and Finsty think about that article.
Good article and surprised to see it on CNN. I hope some who supported this will read it and take it in. I do think the outcome was extremely predictable and many of us tried to warn people only to be mocked and ridiculed.

CNN is under new ownership. Maybe they will resume being a neutral station.
