In this video they are associating Queen Elizabeth II with colonialism and the bad things associated with it. Are they being accurate?

According to the religion of Woke, all white people have benefited from colonialism. It appears as though white people will forever be blessed/cursed by this presumed fact.

Naturally the first topic on their list of grievances is the slave trade, I'm guessing without any consideration whatsoever for the fact Britain did more than any other country by far to end the international slave trade and spent a lot of its treasure doing it.

I did not watch the entire video - too long.

Is there any mention of the participation of Africans in the slave trade? Do they know where chattel slavery still exists?

https://borgenproject.org/eight-facts-chattel-slavery/

Britain ended trading in slaves in 1807 and abolished slavery by 1838.

What was Queen Elizabeth II expected to do?

Nope. They are being ignorant, not accurate.

What do they always want?

R-E-P-A-R-A-T-I-O-N-S.

How far back should we go? The Romans? Vikings? Barbary slave traders?

North African Muslims were taking slaves until the late 19th Century, IIRC. The Brits stopped it.

Slavery was not ended until 1888 in Brazil, and they took way more slaves than the USA. But lefties tend to love Brazil and speak highly of it's diversity and culture.

Some people just hate America and will latch onto anything, no matter how petty, in order to tarnish our nation's name and reputation. Everyone with a brain knows slavery was an institution practiced around the world, long before the USA even existed.

How should people in Africa respond to having been colonized by Europeans? Obviously Africans are going to have issues with that experience. Especially knowing that European countries have gained much wealth from colonialism.

This is true. But when the European colonies lost control and the people gained independence, the people were still very poor, even while surrounded by a huge wealth of natural resources. Many probably became even poorer after the colonies fell.

The western world continued to build more wealth. But it wasn't because they stole the wealth from Africa. It's because the western world, heavily influenced by European culture and tradition, continued to innovate, advance and move forward. We didn't steal the concept of the automobile or the computer from Africa, for example. We developed our own wealth, although like any country, we imported many things as well. But importing is not the same as stealing, which is what some of the revisionist history stuff will have you believe.

We all benefited from the natural resources that Africa has supplied the world, and continue to benefit today. But there is a reason people say it's best to keep business and politics separate.
