I think there’s still hope if there’s someone out there who can convince the religious fanatics of the Republican Party to shut up about abortion and gay marriage and just leave those issues alone.
Most normal people are otherwise aligned with republican values and this would only leave a relatively small group of deadbeats, freaks and losers for the democrats.

What’s really funny is people who think they are experts on the American political system who have no clue how it works.
The POTUS names the person they want on the court. The senate has to concur. The senate has a hearing with the candidate who has been prep by the administration. The chairman of the Senate Judicial committee is responsible for holding the hearing and who is called to testify.
Remember when the head of the senate refused to even hold hearings for Obama nomination because Obama was to far into his term. Then allowed hearings for Trump’s nomination just days before Election Day. The senate damn sure decides.

I ALSO remeber the DEM Senate Majority Leader, reid, and his sidekick, shumer CHANGING THE RULES and told W if he DID nominate, they would NOT hold hearings.
They were WARNED that the new rule COULD come back and haunt them.
Of course they IGNORED it!
Dems NEVER take responsibility for ANYTHING they do!

I get my news from Politics and other controversies.
Nobody likes Biden. What else is new?
But the world has seen some impediments the last couple of years.
It's hard to compare POTUS when the issues they had to deal with are very different.
And I see individuals as able to deal with problems. China would not have the cash to buy half the world if Americans would just stop shopping their products. If that takes down some American companies, so be it.
How is this country being destroyed? That question was not answered.

The point being the POTUS gets to nominate but the senate must confirm. And Joseph Biden was chair of the senate Judiciary committee during the Clarence Thomas hearings. He is the one who did not call the other witnesses who were waiting to confirm what happened to Anita Hill also happened to them.
