“At this point, these kids don’t just need a hug, they need to be held accountable,” Alsobrooks said. “I know it’s not a popular thing to say, but it’s a fair question: Where are their parents? Where are the aunties, where are the uncles and other family members who are responsible for them?”

Wow! I'm impressed! Has Angela Alsobrooks actually stopped being woke and has finally woken up? Either way, it's a good start---that and fining parents/guardians whose kids break curfew.

Alsobrooks was the State's Attorney prior to being elected County Executive. She was known as a fairly tough prosecutor (although she did grandstand on occasion).

definitely out of character for her, but a good start nonetheless.
just as i suspected. black lives only matter to blm if there's a chance to scream 'racism!', 'oppression!', or the like.

Say there is a group fighting children's swimming accidents. Its called "Kids' Lives Matter". Must that group also talk about auto accidents? Think about it.
When I was a kid there was no emergency or violence like this and you couldn't be out after curfew. If you were a kid and wandering around in the middle of the night the cops would stop you and bring you home. I thought that was normal?
Some eye-opening statistics at the end of the Washington Post article about the curfew:
"The county has recorded 80 homicides so far this year, including 24 in August alone, compared with 84 killings a year earlier, Prince George’s County police spokeswoman Christina Cotterman said. The county has also recorded 355 carjackings through July."
