And then when the criminals start crying racism, I double the cops doing stop and frisk to do even more stop and frisk.

Then I bring in the Feds. There’s a national troop on every dangerous corner until the crimminals finally realize their murder will not be tolerated. Then I would do that for about 50 years until folks realize that murder is not “cool or normal.”

You want to stop the violence, then you need to fight fire with fire.
Doing all that would probably take 5 years, not 50 to clean up our violent cities. How long did it take for Giuliani to clean up NYC ?

Looks like another stellar member of society for kamalla lalla ding dong to bail out. Probably a customer of brandon's crackhead son.

I had the misfortune to be sent to Memphis for business a couple years back. I walked around the area of Beale Street in the afternoon and early evening and I didn’t feel safe at all. The vibe coming off the streets just feels dangerous.

I’m not even sure what the rules are in Memphis for carrying weapons, but you are just asking for trouble by walking around unarmed in that city.

Unfortunately, since my origin was outside the country, I had no choice but to go unarmed.

If you must be unarmed in a dangerous city, there are many things you can do to make yourself less of a target. I highly suggest people study those, because criminals can pick up on subconscious clues and determine within seconds if you are a soft target or not.

Almost every major city is either already ungovernable or on its way. Avoid them all

Another tragedy resulting from a soft-on-crime policy. In the state of NY, bail reform laws have drastically increased crime, as criminals are now released on the same day for arrests for many offenses.

It's amazing what people who vote Democrat say and think when confronted with these murders. They defend "equity" and other gibberish and nonsense on grounds of fighting "systemic racism" - until it's them or their children being brutalized by thugs who would shoot dead anybody for a few dollars and who have NONE of the decency and respect for the rule of law that them, educated liberals, have.

Daaaaaang. A whole 11 months served for that? Wow.

They need to media drag the crap out of the Judge and DA for that deal.

Credit to the mayor, they've been complaining about the judicial system wrist slaps and revolving door for over a year. They're not just piling on now.

Tennessee is a constitutional carry state.

The current DA and his defeated oppenetent clashed over prison funding:

In an Associated Press interview, Weirich (R - defeated) said the law helps ensure justice for victims of violent crimes and makes those who break the law more accountable.

In a separate AP interview, Mulroy (D - current DA) said the law does not reduce crime or provide incentives for incarcerated people to rehabilitate and earn credit for work done in prison. The law drives up Tennessee's prison populations and budgets, using funds that could be better spent on youth intervention and community reentry programs, he said.

It's probably been 15 years since I visited Memphis.

Had a good time on Beale in the evening - didn't feel unsafe.

We did a carriage ride at night through downtown and I was struck by the amount of empty storefronts and businesses right in city center. It was striking.

I would think in the years since that it changed, but it was shocking to me at the time.
