I have a fingerprint small gun box/safe. Takes about one second for me to gain access to my Glock near my bed.
I also have a curious toddler running around the house too.
I have a biometric safe that has a belt loop. But, I also have very many gun cabinets and I don't do roll call every night nor in the morning. Everything I have is kid safe, not burglar safe.

New California law holds gun manufacturers liable for gun crimes. It should also extend to persons that failed to secure their firearms should their firearms be used in a gun crime. The CA congresswoman is directly responsible for securing her firearms. California cannot turn a blind eye to her irresponsibility.
What a weird robbery, nothing else taken, just the 2 guns. That doesn't sound like any robbery I've heard of before, sounds more like someone she knows wanted the guns. Or maybe she gave the guns to someone who shouldn't have them.
The irony is that she helped pass a law as speaker stating that gun owners in CA need to lock up their firearms inside their homes. I mean the burglar could have broken open her safe or something but it’s likely that they were more easily accessible.
Her entire professional career has been in politics. She went from political organizing to the city government to the state government to the federal government now back to City leadership. It’s a career for her. Not surprising she’s wildly hypocritical and owns multiple guns for personal protection.

Most people do not want to be governed in this manner. It’s of no business to the government where I store my firearm. It would be against my own interest to leave my gun around my toddler, I wouldn’t do it. I don’t need the government telling me what kind of storage I can or can not use. Government involvement makes things more complicated, makes things like corruption possible(for example the government can mandate you use a safe or a design of safe that’s made by donors), and makes everyone who forgets to lock up their firearm a criminal. Politicians should trust their citizens to make choices for themselves.
The gun thieves were shouting "MAGA country". After the horrific event the bleach-soaked Congresswoman enjoyed her Subway sandwich while adorning a noose. - Actual CNN headline

Do you think that toddler is strong enough to pull back the frame if it is a semi auto to put a bullet in the barrel?
If the gun is not a very small one, I doubt a toddle can even pick it up, much less push the safety on and pull the trigger.
Had guns in my house as long as I had kids from when they were babies.
They were TAUGHT NOT TO TOUCH things, from decorations on the tables, to bleach bottles to guns, etc.
