saw my first adult magazine when i was 12. i would expect most have seen one at that age. figured it out ok my own, wasn’t too complicated. didn’t need a school to guide me through any of that. the whole sex-ed thing is dumb. kids dont even want to hear about it anyway because it is so cringe. they probably know more than you think. stick to puberty in 4th 5th grade and stds in middle school and be done with it

Ignoring the mechanics of sex is probably OK, they aren't hard to figure out. Kids do need to learn about:
  • You can get pregnant the first time, second time, or any time if birth control isn't used.
  • STDs are real, and can ruin your life
  • You can get STDs from oral sex, anal sex, and vaginal sex
  • You can get STDs without penetration
  • Sex and intimacy are not the same
  • It's OK to say no to sex
  • Sex doesn't mean love
  • etc, etc, etc
