"The number of job openings was little changed at 11.2 million on the last business day of July, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today."
Where are the US citizens and legal immigrants who are willing to fill these jobs?
We have a substantive shortage of workers. Unfortunately, that gives employers an incentive to hire illegal workers. Maybe we need more work visas or some other solution.
Incentives don't matter. It is against the law to hire illegal aliens and that's the bottom line! If these jobs don't pay a fair or liveable wage then they need to go out of business. Work visas for those types of jobs doesn't cut it either if we have to subsidize the living costs of the visa holders who work them.
I think it is inhumane to use human beings as pawns in an effort to call attention to a problem.
Find another way to call attention to the problem.
They aren't pawns. Our borders states are overwhelmed with them so other states need to pitch in and help especially the bleeding heart blue states. How are they being treated inhumanely? They are getting room and board in those states just as they would have in the border states.
Lol. Dems want the border open to let votes in and in no way want anything changed to obstruct that…and owning the Libs takes no effort. Keep sending these poor folks away from the meanie Governors so they’re more comfortable with folks that claim to want them here. Win win as DeSantis and Abbott are doing them a favor.
Dems are not getting any votes out of illegal migrants. They can't vote and their anchor babies in 10 to 25 years from now are not going to care about the politics of today. They will vote based on what is happening in their own time, not what their parents told them used to be. That whole voting mishegoss is a narrative created by the right to scare Republicans into hating migrants.
The only ones who can change the immigration and asylum rules and allocate funds to the issue are Congress critters. Instead of spending $12 million dollars shuffling human beings all over the country to "own the libs", maybe DeSantis and Abbott can hire a good lobbying firm to badger the Congress critters. Professional lobbying seems to be the way most bills come about these days.
Are you joking? The Republicans have been fighting the Democrats for years to secure our border and to enforce our immigration laws internally but they haven't budged one iota because they want these foreigners here for various reasons.
As I have said repeatedly it is a lot cheaper for the border states to ship them out of their states than to allow them to remain there and to have to cover their social and living costs.

There is evidence that some illegals do vote. However, one of the reasons that the Democrats are advocates for amnesty for illegal aliens and "virtual" open borders is to retain the ethnocentric Hispanic-American vote and yes down the line their anchor babies will be able to vote and they most assuredly will vote for them to. It's about the Democrats ruling permanently.
Don’t the democrats know that people need to be citizens before they can vote , unless they already have plans to getting around it to make it easy for them , i know dead people have voting for years so it shouldn’t be too hard .
