No I have been saying this for years including during the previous administration where the GOP had the Whitehouse and the Senate majority for 6 years prior to the current administration. Both parties need to address and update our immigration policies but as major an issue the GOP makes it what did they introduce, nothing. Are you saying that the GOP can only introduce something when they have the majority or is that the only way their often extreme positions will ever pass?
If you want to see the GOP leading a major city then come up with positions that appeal to people, until then bask in the glory of leading the upper middle class suburbs with gusto.
Were you asleep the 4 years that Trump was in office? Were you not aware that Trump WAS building the wall and sending back most of the illegals that were caught?
Then, once Biden got into office, the wall building was stopped and illegals FLOODED into the US, and they continue to do so to this day while Biden and the Dems do nothing about it.

This- most people don’t live on MV year round- apparently it is about 17000 vs. 200K who are there in summer, and the 17k aren’t the wealthy summer vacationers.
I guess the elected GOP members in Congress are incapable of drafting a comprehensive update to our immigration laws and policies so more up to date options are available.
But its easier to go with childish grandstanding.....
