This has got to be the dumbest use of $12 million dollars (and counting) to remedy a problem that has been with us since at least since 1892. The Populist Platform of 1892 spoke of "Imported pauperize labor that beat down wages," "A hireling standing army." Republicans can use the inherent hatred their base has for nonwhites on any issue as long as they can make their base believe this problem is getting out of hand under liberals, its liberal policies that create this mess, right?
If fact it is what it is. No administration has come up with workable philosophy toward this issue for 130 years. IMO This can of worms was opened when Dutch Man O War landed in Jamestown in 1619 and the wealthy colonist thought it was a great ideal to build a Capitalist Nation on cheap imported labor. We don't need a solution we need a philosophy toward cheap imported labor that reflects the reality that they will never stop coming.
Slavery ended by a change in Philosophy toward cheap imported labor. Actually we have the same two liberal philosophies regarding cheap imported labor today as they had then. One group are the moralist and the other is the economist. Make no mistake about it if there is a remedy it will come from Liberal thinking and not Conservative thinking. What De Santis is doing is known as stealing money from tax payers to pay for "Kicking The Can Down The Road."
