Yes, liberal thinking has always solved problems.....lol

Disgruntled DeSantis ships two planes of migrants to Martha's Vineyard
Under U.S. law and United Nations conventions, established in the aftermath of World War II, people who express a “well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion” are allowed to await the adjudication of their asylum cases inside the United States, where they can apply for authorization to work, 150 days after filing for asylum. Employment Authorization Documents must be renewed every two years.
50 desperate folks, most of them Venezuelans ---that DeSantis fraudulently enticed to board those expensive jets to Martha's Vineyard-- were trying to escape political and economic crisis brought on by brutal communism. They have high hopes of making a better life, with hard work, to provide food, water and shelter for themselves and their families. That is what they care about. This Florida Governor's stunt to drop them off on an island, where summer tourism drives the local economy, and is over for the year, is cruel.
By the way, the response on Martha’s Vineyard, accessible only by air and sea, saw volunteers turn out in droves to provide immediate assistance to the beleaguered migrants when they unexpectedly showed up, carrying only maps and the few remaining belongings from their long trek of hope. Many of the migrants, who were transported from Texas, by Florida's DeSantis, said they were told they were going to a large city with public transportation where work and housing was waiting for them, not a small island of 20,000 people.
The choice to leave the island to go to Joint Base Cape Cod where shelter and additional humanitarian support was being offered was voluntary. From there the migrants can decide on their next steps. Martha's Vineyard residents and businesses provided cell phones, clothing, food, shelter and legal services. Their island officials did not ask their governor to call in the National Guard to remove the migrants. Post after post after post of twisted partisan disinformation has turned this thread into yet another vehicle of chaotic hate, problem escalation and grievance mongering. This not only hurts the human beings begging for our help, it impedes finding paths to solutions that are needed for the massive humanitarian crisis facing the world and it harms the progress of our nation.
Many of these 50 folks, like a lot of asylum seekers, will most likely be denied and deported back to their country after they go through our immigration processes. But they will have been given a chance, as is our law.
Luring asylum seekers onto planes with the false promise of jobs, only to abandon them on the tarmac on a small island, sure sounds like a brutish political stunt to me. Yes, like most of the planet, we continue to have serious border problems. We have had one for decades and decades and decades. This is not a new crisis, nor is it a partisan issue or spectator sport. It is a complex problem that together we must work on, and vile stunts like this only worsen the situation. They harm the efforts of those who year after year labor for plans and policies that will live up to our nation's promise and potential. By callously playing with people's lives, Gov. DeSantis has chosen to be part of the problem rather than trying to be part of governmental efforts to reach solutions. And cheering on repulsive political tactics is just not something an American should be proud of, in my book.
I maintain, DeSantis is an emotional child for whom grievance, disruption and personal attention are the objectives, and productive serious effort, to effectively govern, is impossible. We have serious problems to solve in this country and we need serious people to solve them, not ugly partisan political theatrics.
LOL…. What BS. Within a couple days of arriving on MV, the migrants were herded like cattle on a bus, stuffed into a cargo ship and then placed into one of those concentration camps. Not one resident on MV opened their huge estates to the migrants. Disgraceful. Why didn’t Obama allow the migrants use a very small part of his massive 29 acre estate? Not one liberal stepped up to offer housing. Shameful.
Biden Administration has been ignoring about the mess at the SWB since he took office.
Most Americans are ignorant and clueless about what’s going on at the SWB border unless they live near the SWB or directly involved with the migrant crisis.
I think it’s a genius move for Abbot and DeSantis to bring the migrant crisis back to the front page
So keep those planes and buses coming
Well one goal of the WEF 2020 was that the world need to be accepting of migrants.
And Biden obeyed by opening up the southern border .....
Globalism
People who voted for Biden should not be surprised. That was his platform.
Keep ‘em coming. Love Abbot and deSantis, the tough type of GOP’s that we desperately need.
Absolutely.
Challenge these bleeding heart NIMBY's to put their money where their mouths are.
