CNN cancels Don Lemon

Why just why do companies hire people they know they will be stuck with and never get rid of? I know ,it's a retortical question. The old 'go woke go broke'.

His low ratings probably was the reason for the cancellation, however his racist rants nor his gay-rape charge which was settled civilly out of court didn't matter for his audience or CNN.
