Guess he'd best be put on suicide watch, then. He just declared that he will not win. Sounds like clinical depression and a realization of his own hideous nature to me.
Now, I favor legalizing all drugs but I cannot fault anyone for wanting to impose harsh penalties on the stuff seeing what I saw.
I just find it interesting that a journalist named Gary Webb brought to the attention of Maxine Waters that the CIA was shipping drugs into her district. She rightfully assumed that it was an attack on the ghetto Blacks. At the same time, you had all the other media giants gang up on Gary Webb and try to make him sound crazy. Official story for him is that he killed himself, but some think the CIA took him out and used him as an example to other journalists who dare question the alphabet agencies. And this is the kind of stuff that hurts the Republican party because you did have George Bush Sr as head of the CIA for a good portion of his government career. I have no doubt in my mind he was the one behind the war on drugs because it was easy money for the CIA. And all too easy to plant this kind of evidence on people that they deem a threat to their power. Just think, we had American agents going into foreign countries to harass and arrest their citizens under the "War on Drugs" guise.
