This brought back memories of a similar shooting at the gas station around the corner from my house a few years ago. Happened during rush hour in a very nice part of town. My entire neighborhood was gob-smacked. We all knew the young man who was killed at least by face, and many of us knew him by name. I don't think anybody knows why the guy did it. The employee did exactly what he asked, and he was halfway out the door with the money when he suddenly turned around shot the young man. It was and remains completely horrifying.
Yes, something like that happened in Lexington years ago. I am not sure that they ever caught the shooter.
A few years back, my stepson was running a Dominos pick up/carry out only. Two women came in and robbed him at gun point. A delivery driver had just pulled back in, got their tag number and called police. When they were arrested a few minutes later they had two toddlers in the car, while they did an armed robbery. WTF?

Are you in favor of criminalizing poverty and revenge?
Revenge, yes. I think that should be a human right. If that guy had family, nothing could make them feel better than probably killing that POS themselves.
But, I think it's an effective message to just kill them slowly (a shot in the stomach is a slow slow death without medical attention) and dump them like the trash they're in the neighborhood they grew up in. Allow everyone to view them dying slowly, and they can reconsider if they want to follow in their footsteps or not.
Just line him up against the wall, shoot him in the stomach, and dump his body in front of his mom’s place.
What would that do? Would it scare anyone else straight? Given the amount of people that die in gang battles, in the commission of other crimes, what do you think it would do, other than revenge?
