"“It’s more difficult today for me to convince a promising McDonald’s executive to relocate to Chicago from one of our other offices than it was just a few years ago,” he said. “It’s more difficult for me to recruit a new employee to McDonald’s, to join us in Chicago than it was in the past.”
In the article Starbucks also weighed in on the matter.
Well he initially cheered it on and even moved McD's headquarters in a show of "commitment" to the politics of Chicago.
But now a change of heart ? Like Starbucks ?

Seems the wealthy are now seeing what is happening in cities when you implement "racial equity" in the criminal justice system.
This is the outcome of all those "defund the police" movements.

So why would McDonald's doing the same not initiate the same response?
They should close all of the locations in Chicago. It would be a shame for people to lose their jobs, but Bug Eyes Lori Lightfoot is the kind of leadership they vote for, so they should face the consequences of voting for soft-on-crime Democrats.
My company has an office in Chicago and I was just talking to a co-worker about our “return to office” efforts and he said that most employees there are just ignoring the “return to office” stuff and staying remote because crime that happens in broad daylight “in the loop” has gotten so bad. “Equity” Democrats should be so proud!
They should just close all McDonalds.
Pure garbage. I honestly don’t think it should qualify as “food”.
But that’s a different topic.
But yeah, any business in a high crime area, especially now with recent massive increase, should suspend operations in those locations.
It would send a shockwave of a message for sure.
Imagine if a boatload of business’ shut down. The impact on the economy would be devastating. All those jobs lost…damn man.
But, probably wouldn’t make a difference long term.
Blue cities would just raise taxes and put everyone on the public dime. You know, business as usual.

It's not just Blue cities. The is the outcome of "racial equity". Go read Biden's EO's. Those EO's apply to all cities and all states my friend.
