It seems you are making a 'leap of faith' as to exactly who is responsible for the state's crime rate. Are 'those in power' the ones committing the crimes?

Those in power are soft on crime, defend and enable criminals, spin them through the revolving doors of justice, and extra quick with no cash bail, etc… NY is reaping what it sows and folks have left in droves along with their tax money because of it…but it’s easier to blame the police and society versus dealing with the loser criminals appropriately, hence it’ll continue to get worse.

Crime control is a multi-faceted subject. Abjectly blaming an entity which is in a political opposition to a person seems highly likely to be inaccurate, to me.

Nah, when criminals know there’s little to no consequences, they’ll continue to be criminals, and the powers that be enable that to happen. I laugh every time I hear no cash bail. It’s certainly no coincidence that it’s getting worse and people don’t want to continue to deal with it so they leave…but do tell what the powers that be are doing to stop the skyrocketing crime/violent crime, and please be specific?

They are the ones advancing policies which encourage criminals to act, e.g.,

•AOC has called for the defunding of NYC’s Police Department when street crime is skyrocketing out of control in her District and her constituents are being assaulted, robbed, and even killed.

• AOC is demanding reform of NYC’s bail laws to allow dangerous and repeat offenders’, when apprehended, to be immediately released back into the community without bail and be able to inflict more harm to her constituents.

• AOC is pushing to end qualified immunity for police officers which makes policing of high crime neighborhoods totally ineffective.

Sadly, the idiots within her district will keep re-electing her, so AOC isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!!

I wonder how AOC will defend her policies at tonight's Candidate's Forum at the Tifereth Israel Center, 31-36 88th Street, Queens, NY. Also invited are candidates Tina Forte, Grace Meng and Tom Zmich.

Congressional Candidate Forum: Tina Forte vs. AOC and Tom Zmich vs. Rep. Grace Meng

I suspect AOC will not show up at the forum, but I could be wrong.

Default AOC is a NO SHOW at Candidate's Forum at the Tifereth Israel Center, Queens

.

Well, as I expected, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez chickened out of taking part at the Candidate's Forum at the Tifereth Israel Center, 31-36 88th Street, Queens, NY., where she might be asked to defend her policies and answer:

• Why has she called for the defunding of NYC’s Police Department when street crime is skyrocketing out of control in her District and her constituents are being assaulted, robbed, and even killed?

• Why is she demanding reform of NYC’s bail laws to allow dangerous and repeat offenders’, when apprehended, to be immediately released back into the community without bail, and be able to inflict more harm to her constituents?

• Why is AOC pushing to end qualified immunity for police officers which makes policing of high crime neighborhoods totally ineffective?

• Why is she demanding student loan debt forgiveness which will ultimately be paid for by her blue-collar constituents who were not privileged to attend college like her?

• Why is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez comfortable with filling New York City’s scarce public housing with illegal aliens when America’s needy Citizens, including U.S. Military Veterans, are going homeless?

• Why is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez so excited and happy with her Green New Deal, being forced upon her constituents when it will raise the cost of heating their homes to outrageous, and in some cases, unaffordable levels this coming winter?

• Why is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez so intent on filling the United States with millions of other country’s poverty stricken, poorly educated, low skilled, diseased, disabled, and criminal populations, which is inflicting devastating effects on the citizens in her district?

The AOChicken is giving voters something to crow about! #CluckAOC

AOC’s Jackson Heights District Office. 74-09 37th Avenue, Queens, NY

I wonder if AOC will ever come out of hiding and debate her challenger, Tina Forte.
