I watched a little of the Hannity interview last night. Trump actually said that when he applied for loans, that he told the loan officer that his financial statement may not be accurate and that they should send out their own appraisers and lawyers before giving him the loan. I guess the onus was on the lender then, huh? LOL. I can't believe he actually admitted that.
why wouldn't he?
As long as this has dragged out, searching for anything chargeable, I can't absolutely recall but ... James and CY Vance already deposed all his bankers, right? Unless they're both bigger idiots than one can imagine, at least one of them asked "Did he tell you the value was this, or produce any official document showing the value? Did you rely on that to approve the loan? Did his interest rate or terms rely on that information?"

Again, my question is, why would you take a financial statement into a bank for a loan and then tell them it's probably not correct?
Not going to dig into the 200+ page filing but I have one question. ALL civil lawsuits must show harm. They must show the actions caused harm and the resulting amount is the compensatory and/or punitive (if applicable) damages for that harm. Anyone can file anything. That means nothing but without proving harm, the suit could be thrown out in pretrial motions. So who is the AG claiming was harmed and why isn't that party adjoined to the suit?

You'll probably have to end up digging through those 200 pages to find out. I don't think she filed this lawsuit arbitrarily.

I've read this thread and you've been somewhat of a self-appointed expert on the case. Why can't you answer this? It's the heart of any civil suit. It's a simple question. Who was caused harm and if so, why aren't they adjoined to the suit?
This is a civil case, not criminal. If there are indictments, Alvin Bragg will be the one responsible for generating them.
wrong. Alvin Bragg is the DA of Manhattan, a local law/state law position. Alvin Bragg already told his underlings to drop the criminal investigation at the beginning of the year.
James:

“We are referring those criminal violations that we have uncovered to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and the Internal Revenue Service,†James said at a press conference.

What you state is not necessarily the law. As shown, the criminal law is against even making an application using false information. The AG is saying that the banks and insurers provided services under terms which were false -- that's harm to them.

Then why did they loan him money on an overly inflated amount? Nice try though. He's got a lot to answer for in that lawsuit.
BTW, have you ever applied for a loan, taken your financial statements in and said, "these are probably not accurate." Um, no. No, you wouldn't.
Every time in my life that I have applied for a loan they don't just take whatever you tell them at face value. Lenders will verify everything and require documents. And Trump was borrowing a lot more money than I ever did.
And even if everything the NY AG says is true. He paid his loans, his lenders have never sued him on this and where does she get $250 million in money owed the state?

I don't disagree. But I don't go into a bank with my financial statement and say look, this probably wrong. LOL
