8,120,000 votes cast in the 2018 Florida gubernatorial election.
7,670,000 votes cast in the 2020 Florida gubernatorial election.
Ann Navarro's claim is that Ron DeSantis tilted the playing field in his direction. The lesser number of votes (450,000) might indicate voter suppression.
On the other hand, DeSantis got 4,076,000 votes in 2018 and 4,472,000 votes in 2022. As Val Demings only received 3,198,000 votes, if voter suppression did happen, then the roughly half a million votes suppressed (or even a million votes) wouldn't have helped her gain a victory.

It was all over our local news in Florida. Democrats were interviewed across the state and said they were not going to vote because they did not like Crist and they felt it was going to be a landslide for DeSantis anyways.
They did not see the point in voting, so many did not. It's like Republicans sitting it out in deep blue state midterms.
Many Democrats who did vote actually voted for DeSantis, as he stands up for parental rights and they appreciate that.
Crist was a poor choice on several levels. That suppresses the vote. If you want to win elections, you have to put up good candidates. True on both sides.
