BOTH parties are spending us into oblivion, & does it really matter which party is worse?

Obama & Trump both signed off on Trillions worth of deficit spending. Sure, Congress proposed the spending, but BOTH these Presidents signed off on it...and now Biden's doing the same, & the next Pub Prez will do the same again.

This is not Red vs. Blue...they are ALL guilty, & it causes; inflation, bubbles, recessions, wage stagnation, & income/wealth gaps.

The runaway spending began w/ the New Deal in the 30's, then just continued, no matter which party was in power. The New Deal brought great prosperity, but it was just gov't dumping $ into the private sector...a mirage....it was borrowed cash...like paying off a credit card, w/ another credit card.

In 1930, gov't consumed ~10% of GDP...today it's >50%. That's a 500% increase in big gov't greed.

That's 40% of GDP NOT going into all of our pockets...unless you are a gov't employee/contractor.

Annual GDP is ~$24T, so 40% is $9.6T. Can you imagine of each taxpayer split $9.6T? If my math is right, we'd each get $76,800/yr..

How to stop it? Each time we vote, & do not demand for it to end...it continues. Gov't is a parasite, and we are its hosts. The parasite is killing us.

We should all write our politicians, & demand 5% spending cuts across the board; effective now...discretionary & non-discretionary spending.

Has anyone seen the trendline on the interest on the debt? The media keeps it quiet. I'll save that bomb for my next topic.

That will never happen. The nature of elections is making campaign promises to spend money benefiting people so they will vote your way. Whether it's student loan forgiveness, a health care plan, building EV charging stations, building a wall on the border, creating jobs, building freeways, or anything else, it costs money.

Our society has deteriorated to the point where it’s far too late to stop and fix this.

There will have to be a total collapse, and probably a terrible, violent war. Hopefully we can keep the fraud going for a little while longer….I’d like a few more good years.

Modern monetary theorists. Give them 20 minutes and they'll explain to you why QE, inflation, and bailouts are the best way forward and tell you deflation is the real boogeyman. It's the same culture of excesses and fiscal irresponsibility that got us here in the first place.

Both parties have to pay off their lobbyists so the spending deluge will not stop I'm afraid.

The simple way to stop the government from overspending would be to enact an amendment which requires the budget to be balanced. It will never happen because we keep electing people who don’t care how much money they spend as long as they get re-elected.

We need:
***A Balanced Budget Amendment
***Term and Age Limits
***Eliminate Political Parties-----each State gets two Senators and a Representative for each district, no designation beyond name and State.

That solves about 75% of our problems, in my estimation.
