I was staying in the confines of the topic concerning Joe's behavior towards children. I do not know the laws of each state nor am I going to research it for the sake of debating old reprobates with sexual hangups. Groping a young girl is sexual abuse and that is a human rights issue and I would think surely a law in there somewhere to protect the victim. If not, shame on us.
As you were saying, it is about Joe's behavior around children and not about evidence against him (or you either for that matter) to be used against him (or you) in a court of law. As to judge or jury, they're both going to use the evidence they have been presented, not their personal feelings.
This forum is a good place for airing personal feelings and some topics such as this one evoke quite a few responses.
Joe Biden will never be tried for any wrongdoing and we all know it. Even if it came out he raped a 10 year old girl and there was rock solid evidence he did, there would be no charges brought against him.
It's the same with his son and his laptop. It doesn't matter how many hands have touched it, they have enough on him to hang him but it will never happen. Now on the other hand, if you were in the identical position as either one of these two critters with the exception your name is not Biden and you are not POTUS or son of, well I'm going to say it doesn't matter a tinker's damn if you opt for a judge or a jury, your goose is cooked.

True. While the difference between 30 and 36 is insignificant the difference between 12 and 18 is huge.

God. I'm 59 and I wouldn't even DREAM of going out with or marrying anyone less than about, say, 50. If even that. Just the fact that a young woman is looking at an old goat (yeah, like me) would be a gigantic red flag to me.
Why? Because I remember how it felt to be young and the thinking process of a (typical, healthy) young person. Any girls I ever knew at that age would have gagged at the thought of a man 20 or 30 years older than them. So would I have gagged at the thought of an "old woman" when I was 20. And "old" at the time would have been about 30. Ancient would have been 40. A fossil would have been 50 and beyond. (so, yeah, I know... I'm a fossil now. Such is life)

Those touchy freely old poops have a hard time learning to keep their hands off of other people. It’ll get you fired these days. No more pin up calendars, either. DH had a new work assignment. he learned the supervisor had the female employees sit on his lap to collect their checks. That guy was told he would be fired on the spot if it ever happened again. We were stunned the women would do it. Evidently they had been for years.This was in late 80s.
But my grands thought my asking permission to give them a hug was a bit much. Many think we should.
It’s also hard on pre school teachers. One does need to hold a toddler when they are stressed.
