"The privacy invasion was vast when FBI agents drilled and pried their way into 1,400 safe-deposit boxes at the U.S. Private Vaults store in Beverly Hills.

They rummaged through personal belongings of a jazz saxophone player, an interior designer, a retired doctor, a flooring contractor, two Century City lawyers and hundreds of others.

Agents took photos and videos of pay stubs, password lists, credit cards, a prenuptial agreement, immigration and vaccination records, bank statements, heirlooms and a will, court records show. In one box, agents found cremated human remains.

Eighteen months later, newly unsealed court documents show that the FBI and U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles got their warrant for that raid by misleading the judge who approved it."

The hits just keep coming for the FBI. Definately need a good house cleaning state to state and in DC apparently.

Something for the 87K new hires at the IRS to look into

Actually, something for each DOJ agency to pursue!

"I got your back", Eric holder, Obama's best friend, began the trend which is now SOP for the FBI. Filing dalse warrants and judge shopping. Remember when Holder falsified a warrant to spy on journalists writing opposition to obama policies???????

Lie's for the Warrant to the Judge and then not following the terms of the Warrant.
Illegal Search and Seizure - not only that - the Victims of the Illegal Search & Seizure are require by the Corrupt DOJ to prove themselves Innocent because the DOJ can't prove them guilty.
The Corrupt DOJ has fought for years to keep the Affidavits SEALED and to KEEP what they seized in their RAID. Lesson learned here -- if it's all too "secret" to reveal even to a Federal Judge OR a Former FISA Court Judge - then it's very suspect by a know Corrupt DOJ/FBI

This all sounds familiar - they did it to all those Safety Deposit Box holders and they did it to a Former President ..... who is next?

I think maybe it's time for these judges to stop being so deferential to law enforcement when they seek warrants and probe a little deeper, especially for those agencies with a richly documented history of abusing their power.

Also, asset forfeiture laws are long, long past due for an overhaul. At the very least they should shift the burden of proof to law enforcement. Even requiring a weak-ass threshold like preponderance of the evidence would be far preferable to forcing the aggrieved party to prove a negative.

How can this be? The anti-Trumpers tell us that those in the FBI are the most honest upstanding people on the planet and that they should be supported without question.

A corrupt administrative state is a problem for everyone, regardless of political affiliation. Best to not use it as a wedge, IMO.

personally, I don’t see any issue with what the FBI did. the FBI is full of loyal Americans who love our country deeply and we should never question what their motives are. if you didn’t commit a crime, then you have nothing to worry about and should invite FBI agents into your house to search all of your possessions whether you think it is warranted or not. if we don’t have complete unwavering support for our upstanding federal
agents, we lose our democracy.

Two people were killed in a no knock raid in Houston last year. Turns out the cop lied to get a warrant.

We read monthly about someone being shot by LEO in a no knock warrant approved raid that turned out to be faulty. IDK if its due to crooked or incompetent.
