We still don't understand the difference between immigration and illegal immigration?
The speaker in the video is talking about immigration, not illegal immigration.
It is true that both parties, actually the Republican Party way more than the Democrat Party, have been pro-immigration. Both parties have also been anti illegal immigration. Only the Democrat Party has recently switched and become pro illegal immigration.

He didn't specifically say legal immigration. He was talking about ALL immigration. Pretty simple... What's the quickest way to flood the country with low-wage immigrants that can be used as modern day slave labor with the added benefit of cutting legal immigrants' and citizens' wages without running afoul of the limitations placed on legal immigration by US immigration law? Allow massive illegal immigration. And that's exactly what they've done.
Because, in its core values, there is no difference between the two parties or, any others. They all want only get to the pie and grab the biggest chunk of it. Repubs or Dems, we only smell it and maybe get a crumb ever so often.

Which is exactly what some of us here have been saying for years. Start locking up business owners and CEOs of corporations who hire undocumented immigrants to the point that it becomes very unattractive for them to risk it, and they will stop hiring them. If there are no jobs and they have no means to support themselves, the immigrants will self deport at no cost to the taxpayers.
Quite simple, if you can overcome the greed of the guilty employers who make large political donations, and convince candidates to do what needs to be done. Also quite unlikely.

Well, your first paragraph mentions a solution but ignores one VERY BIG problem: how is an employer supposed to know if an illegal alien is using a stolen/forged ID and SS number?
I've posted this before... The E-Verify system itself admits that it cannot correctly detect unauthorized workers in most cases.
Quote:
"Due primarily to identity fraud, the inaccuracy rate for unauthorized workers is approximately 54 percent. As seen in Exhibit 2, approximately 3.3 percent of all E-Verify findings are for unauthorized workers incorrectly found employment authorized and 2.9 percent of all findings are for unauthorized workers correctly not found employment authorized. Thus, almost half of all unauthorized workers are correctly not found to be employment authorized (2.9/6.2) and just over half are found to be employment authorized (3.3/6.2). Consequently, the inaccuracy rate for unauthorized workers is estimated to be approximately 54 percent with a plausible range of 37 percent to 64 percent. This finding is not surprising, given that since the inception of E-Verify it has been clear that many unauthorized workers obtain employment by committing identity fraud that cannot be detected by E-Verify"
"Identity fraud cannot be detected by E-Verify" Let that sink in, and don't for a second think that illegal aliens aren't aware of that fact... That's why Puerto Rico had to invalidate ALL their birth certificates issued prior to October 30, 2010. Too many PR birth certificates were being used by illegal aliens to fraudulently obtain US passports and SS numbers, and to enroll in US public assistance programs (Food Stamps, Medicaid, Welfare, etc.).
A unique biometric identifier such as fingerprints, retinal scan, etc., would be required from every US citizen, LPR, and authorized temporary non-citizen worker to make E-Verify work as well as intended. E-Verify has no such database, and I doubt you'd get every US citizen, LPR, and authorized temporary non-citizen worker to agree to submit such biometric identifiers to the Fed Gov. It's too intrusive and a violation of our 4th Amendment Rights.
Mollie Tibbetts' killer was employed under a false identity other than his own because he used a forged/stolen state-issued ID and SS number. How is an employer supposed to determine when a hiring prospect/employee is using forged/stolen documents when even E-Verify cannot do so?
And can you imagine it? The idiot SJWs would incessantly shriek "Racist!" "Bigot!" "Xenophobe!" if a business owner ever dared to challenge the veracity of a POC's ID documents. We ALL know that would happen.

Before I retired we occasionally unknowingly hired workers doing exactly that, and we let them go if we found out. One of them from Honduras was the best CNC burner operator I ever had, and it cost us dearly to terminate him. Those are not the ones I am talking about. There are a lot of businesses who don't ask questions, and many of them pay under the table. That includes a lot, but by no means all, of the workers we see here in SC working for roofing and landscaping outfits, and the abattoirs and meat packing plants in the area.
What is also true, however, is that the ones with fake SS#s had income taxes and SS deducted from their paychecks, which ended up in the general fund, and spent their earnings locally which supported a strong economy. It's not all a one way street.
The blame is squarely on the voters- they voted for those politicians.
