Not surprising, but still makes me sick to my stomach.

RIP America.

California residents can now acquire a state ID regardless of immigration status under a law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday.

The bill's sponsors framed ID cards as "passports to economic and societal participation" that allow individuals to access banking services, obtain government benefits, and acquire health care.

California should just go ahead and be their own country, and take NYC with it. The sooner, the better, so we won't have to bail them out at the bottom of the Biden recession.

Only way the democrats have a chance to win elections going forward. If you can't brainwash them, import them.

Of course Newsome was for this.

So much for the excuse that voter ID is discriminatory when even illegals have ID cards.

There is zero difference in California today between a US citizen and a non citizen. Citizenship means nothing anymore. There is absolutely no incentive for any illegal alien living in California to seek citizenship.

Frankly, I'd rather see people getting legitimate IDs than keeping forgers in business.

But I guess that's just me.

No, citizenship does means something in California. It means you are a provider. It means you have to pay income taxes, get called for jury duty, pay alimony & child support if required, get denied benefits, welfare and Pell grants because you actually have a reported income, possibly get drafted during wartime if you are a young man, etc.

In California, it seems you are better off being an illegal alien.

Wouldn't matter if they did or didn't.. ..you wind up using uninsured motorists either way if one of them hits you.. ..and the illegal walks away from the scene scotch free and clean.. ..the 'citizen' on the other hand.. ..may wind up changing his voting preference next election.. ..but it will be too late by then.

Our lovely piece of trash Colorado Democrats did this a few years ago, but framed it as a “safety issue,” as though nobody could figure out that they wanted to normalize illegal immigration. At least the sponsors of this bill were honest as to why they wanted it.

Edited to add: Let me guess; California also has “motor voter” laws, and soon we’ll be hearing about how ballots were “accidentally” sent to illegal aliens because they were “accidentally” registered to vote when they obtained their IDs. *eyeroll*
