$20 a month?

2023 Medicare Parts A & B Premiums and Deductibles 2023 Medicare Part D Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts

Each year the Medicare Part B premium, deductible, and coinsurance rates are determined according to the Social Security Act. The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $164.90 for 2023, a decrease of $5.20 from $170.10 in 2022.

snip

Wow, $5.20 a month!

I am going on a vacation to Hawaii on that!

WH=hen is Biden going to work towards getting rid of the tax I pay on my SS tax each week that the Dems saw fit to invoke?

A tax on a tax is preposterous and insulting.

But we've got plenty of residual stock value despite our wrong moves. If you are experienced enough, you know it will come back around in due time.
Not everyone has "due" time!!! The drastic changes in the stock market is NBD to those with a long time horizon....not the case for those looking to retire now.

I'm 71, retired and IMO have plenty of time left to enjoy the inevitable future market gains. And if not, then my kids will. Even if they don't need it.

the tradeoff for the $20 a month discount is you'll have to work an additional 3-5 years because your retirement accounts will have lost 25% of their value.

What a deal!

Of course the poor rely more on SS, which saw no such reduction. In fact due for a significant raise soon.

Being my part D went up 50% and my husband's climbed from $25 to $4140 - that $5.20 means nothing. Lord knows what my supplemental G will go up.
