I know a an old friend who was a truck driver, owned his own company and was easily clearing a healthy 6 figures... Got caught smuggling illegals and was sentenced to 4 years of jail.
Why did he do it? Beyond greed and idiocy, I have no idea.
for those that are at least half-wits - a simple calculation of potential $$ earned vs very minor risk of the cost of a couple years of prison.
Smugglers and traffickers or coyotes need to be shot. They are the most vile human beings. I know of some who in The ocean who see the coast guard coming and they drop the load. Let them all drown. They leave people in the desserts they extort for more money, they rape and hurt people of all ages. Stop the hiring or make a better temp employee deal.

What does the 2nd bold "stop the hiring or make a better employee deal" even supposed to mean? There are nearly unlimited "work visas" allowed for agriculture and really any occupation where low-wage immigrants will "do the work that American citizens won't".

Immigration has been a left/right issue for most of my life. Trump curtailed immigration and got lambasted for it. Bush curtailed immigration and got lambasted for it. All the way back to Reagan, who attempted to compromise with the left and got the short end of the stick, the right has tried to curtail immigration while the left paid lip service to the idea of secure borders. No previous administration, however, has invited and condoned the massive surge which is now crossing our border. Again, if you support or voted for Biden, you hold a share of the responsibility for every death, injury, and psychological trauma which is inflicted on people by human traffickers and drug smugglers.
