But Jeff wasn't a billionaire when he married Mackenzie. Do you think she was totally out of the picture while he was "inventing amazon" and contributed nothing towards his success? This wasn't a gold digger situation, she was there from day 1, BEFORE day 1, and everything in their lives played out the way it did because they were a couple.
I read that it was she who gave him the money to start up the business by taking a loan on her parent's house. So like it or not, she does indeed deserve part of the fruits of that company.

Never said he was. She's the one who quickly got remarried to a chemistry teacher right after her divorce, putting her fortune at risk in the process. (even a prenup can be thrown out by a judge)
Now she clearly looks like the common denominator of 2 failed marriages. She's a 52 year old billionaire, she didn't have the foresight to think that marrying a chemistry teacher was going to be a bad idea?
First thing they're going to fight over is money, how much needs to be kept or given away. She probably argued it was hers to do as she pleases and he probably argued that it's "their money" and requires "mutual approval" as a married couple. That's why it didn't even last 2 years.

That's ridiculous. By that logic I wouldn't be allowed to be married to the mother of my children because I was stupid and had a failed marriage when I was very young. I bet we'd agree that children do best when raised in a traditional nuclear family but you'd deny many people the right to do that.
if there was such a bumper sticker, I'd place it on my car: Ban marriage and imprison all violators.
