UK two years ago, Sweden two weeks ago, Italy two days ago.
Add in the media blackout over Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic all going hard anti-immigration and all telling Brussels/Berlin to go pound sand on that particular topic, and it feels like Germany's left-wing conquest of Europe might be unraveling a smidgen.
"C'mon, fat! I just named an ambassador to Italy. No, it's not Nancy "Stuffed Crust" Pelosi. Our new ambassador to Italy is an old friend of mine, from the old country. He and I grew up near the Leaning Tower of Pizza, and we've been friends for at least 90 years. His name is Chef Boyardee."

The US has a different system to most countries, with the US giving Ambassador positions as a reward for loyalty or raising campaign funds.

By my count, the USA still has 3 consulates general in Italy.
Does anyone else in here remember Benito Mussolini? Well Italy just elected another facist party.
