In my 23 years in the FBI, I have not seen a more impactful series of missteps that has called into question the entire organization and more thoroughly damaged the FBI’s reputation.

Wow. Just, wow.

First, Clinton weaponized the FBI, then Obama and now the Potato in Chief.

Democrats love using the FBI and IRS against their political enemies. I believe Hitler and Stalin did similar.

Ouch.
A professional way of saying “you are an embarrassment and a major effup”.
But it also sounds like the FBI itself knows the organization is a mess.
That might be a good thing. Hopefully they can square things up and get back on track, reclaim some trust with the American people.

if denmark is rotten, it will be for some time to come.

ETA: 2nd paragraph 5th sentence is the CYA BS. The investigation still remains, even tho it was a sham and they knew it. The watermark separating pages is details of the crime of publishing it.

Strzok had filed suit over his termination. It's possible that the letter was used against him in that suit(?).

life is much easier when you're a rabid anti-trump leftist:

"After he was fired, the former special agent was given a lucrative book deal, lionized on the left, featured prominently as an expert by CNN, and given a teaching job at Georgetown. It was an extraordinary recovery from a scandal where he showed flagrant bias, engaged in an affair with another married colleague at the FBI, and fought to continue to investigate Russian collusion claims despite early warnings over the questionable basis of the allegations pushed by the Clinton campaign. (Strzok’s colleague and former paramour, Lisa Page, was given a contract as a legal analyst with NBC and MSNBC)."
