What happened to the laboratory of democracy, you guyts want a national ban on jay walking? if the citizens of California think they can cross the street safely, I dont care, I dont have to get insurance there since I dont live there so why do I care?
And then they will blame white supremacy when more people of color get flatten up like pancakes for jaywalking
This woman (POC) got killed jay walking to a liquor store down the street at night. Everyone was screaming on the news about "justice". The crosswalk was 40 feet away.
People get flattened all the time in one area of town. The city even tried to put up heavy hedges to deter them. Nope, you see them crossing all the time and there are crosswalks on both ends within 100 yards or less.

It sure looks like certain advocates of "small government" want this particular behavior very carefully regulated.
There is a section of town here that is 99% black and they will cross the street as slow as possible or start crossing when they know damn well a car is coming. It's as if they want you to hit them. Unfortunately some drivers have called their bluff
....and stare at you....like they are daring you to hit them
