You know at first I was happy for those guys. I thought it was cool that they could make a rom com geared towards gay men which even a few years ago may have been controversial. It was some of that "progress" that everyone seems to be pushing for. But now instead it's become a perfect example of what's wrong with the modern woke movement. What should've been something for their community to embrace and enjoy together is now something that divides and creates further hostility. It's no longer about progress it's just about angry people spoiling for a fight. This is what's turning people off.

Straight guys were never going to embrace a movie like this. It wasn't aimed at them and they shouldn't be expected to go see it and shouldn't be labeled phobic for that. Gay communities and that subset of women that enjoy hanging out with gay people should get together and support the movie themselves. We're told they are a much bigger percentage of our society than we think so they should be able to make money off the target demographics alone. If they can't, then that's a market issue not an intolerance issue. Maybe there's not as big of a gay community out there as they want us to believe.

I just hope this actor/producer's ill advised remarks don't make it harder for the next gay themed film to be made. They'll have to adjust budgets to demographic reality perhaps, but there's still room in the market for this kind of film.

Or everyone who does not like Trump is a socialist. Goes both ways. Your side is just as bad as the leftists at pigeon holing others you don't like. Regardless I am cheap and a little lazy. I am not going to buy a ticket for a movie when that money will pay for a month of streaming content. And I have no desire to watch this when it ends up on netflix or wherever.

This actor is an idiot for saying what he said. Hopefully his career is over.

I caught part of the ad while skipping through commercials on the DVR. Wanted to hurl. The actor in the article with the tweeting sounds super triggered. I agree with the poster with the liver and onions comment. If something makes you want to vomit, why expose yourself to more of it? Ain’t nobody gonna shame me into eating that crap or watching this crap. Lol
