I sure hope so.

Why am I paying for dropouts to have their debt forgiven? I am strongly against all of this but AT LEAST only give it to graduates. I resent it because I almost quit college so many times (for legit reasons) but I didn't stop bc I knew I'd have loans to pay and no degree. And just because this is a total handout to buy votes.

I don't see this making it. Someone will sue and it will make it to the SC.

I know that it will be. This was a ploy by the Democratic Party to buy votes. That’s all it was. You cannot ask people who never got the opportunity to go to college, grew up poor, work blue-collar jobs and have rights since they got out of high school to pay off debts for a bunch of snot nosed, silver spoon fed, irresponsible college kids and call it American. Ain’t happening.

Obama had his "Cash for Clunkers" deal to get the economy moving.

Biden has his "Cash for Flunkers" deal that we all know is nothing but pandering for votes like Reparations.

It is just too much money that will help too few. It is a handout to buy votes.

I hope it does get tossed out because it is unfair to those of us that didn't go to a big school, who paid our own way, paid off our loans or skipped college and took up a trade.

Losers, too not just privileged kids. Like the loser Socialist I used to argue with constantly who believes rich people should be taxed 70%. He was a dropout so I'm just so glad I paid his loans off!

I'm not an attorney, but I think someone has to sue, and Supreme court decides to hear the case. It will be shut down quick. Imagine the screaming and whining. Majority of America was against this strongly, I don't care what the fake news says.

My gut tells me it's unconstitutional. Like others say, "hey I'm behind on my credit cards".... it's my fellow taxpayers who need to pay for it. Not gonna fly. I paid my loans back, too.

The loan forgiveness for private loans will not go anywhere.

As for the other federally guaranteed loans. It should be struck down because the President does not have the authority to spend the money, that lies with Congress. The only way any sort of forgiveness would happen is if Congress approved loan forgiveness, and that won't happen. Because you not only have Republicans who won't support it, you have Democrats who think that 10-20K is enough, but you then have members that will accept nothing less than 50K to full forgiveness regardless of the amount.

I think lots more people are mad about this than people think.

Millions and millions of Americans could use a $10k break on their credit card bills.

I'm hoping so as well.

I think it'll get reversed. After the Nov elections, gas will go sky high, crime will be worse, we'll have a deep depression, more illegals, more deaths by fentanyl, etc.

They are doing what they can now for votes. They know it's wrong and won't pass.

..i know you're being funny but you cite part of the problem...if you can't pay for your washing machine the lender can come and take it back, resell it to recoup some of his losses because the washing machine has 'intrinsic value'..

....your college degree has value only to you, it has no 'intrinsic value' ergo it is basically worthless to anyone but you...the lender can't take back your degree and resell it, it has value to no one but you...

...i think they went about this assbackwards...simply repealing the law forbidding the borrower from declaring bankruptcy would have been a much better approach instead of a blanket forgiveness...my two cents..
