The answer would be YES

Let me introduce: Venezuela

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/exc...us-2022-03-09/

U.S. officials have demanded Venezuela supply at least a portion of oil exports to the United States as part of any agreement to ease oil trading sanctions on the OPEC member nation, two people close to the matter said.

I would be laughing if this wasn't so pathetic.

Prices will spike up again but given the economy and the looming recession, demand for oil will fall over the coming months maybe longer depending on how deep the recession will be. Talk about an inept administration. If they weren't so blatantly incompetent you would think that they were tanking the economy by design to further promote their socialist agenda.

Just repeat what the WH has told us:

There is no recession
High gas prices are because of the pandemic, Putin, oil companies, gas station owners, OPEC, supply chain
There was 0% inflation in July

uhm...the xl pipeline would have/does feed right into our oil reserves...Biden refusing the pipeline hurts the US strategic reserves directly.... liberals are traitors, directly hurting the USA

I don't think they care. They won't be giving up their vehicles/private jets.

"Uhm" the pipeline already exists and the shutdown project was an expansion, the sludge it carries goes to China not our strategic reserve. Conservatives are the traitors never holding themselves accountable and giving a pass to all the illegal activities that their side does and that is what hurts the USA.

Thank you, President Biden, for killing our energy independence, during your first day in office...
Now when gas prices go down he gets on the news and talks about it. He gives himself credit. I don't recall him talking on the news when gas prices go UP! Lets see what he talks about gas related in the next two weeks, lol!
