fascism was created by Mussolini, who was a Marxist (Marxism is most definitely leftist)... fascism is socialism lite...therefore is must be left, because is certainly is no-where near the right
In all fairness, fascism is reactionary, nationalistic, anti-globalist, socially-conservative, quasi-monarchical, and largely capitalistic. Both Mussolini and Hitler were overwhelmingly supported by conservatives. Their principle opposition were communists/leftists/antifa/etc.

The great irony of communism is that communist governments have been extremely nationalistic, socially-conservative, with closed-borders. Open-borders only happens under capitalism and democracy. Capitalism is globalism.
Changes in society today do not have to conform to the definitions of fascism/socialism/communism found in the textbooks.
Look at China...communist yet they embraced capitalism.
It can be flavors and mixtures and still be oppressive to the people.
Stop getting hung up on dictionary definitions.
