Not a fan of this nod to mj dealers, and profiteers from drug deals. Particularly when minors were used to sell.

Do the time. We are becoming permissive and dismissive of illegal activities...
Which is why they want the words 'simple' and 'possession' are in the same sentence. Besides being a gateway drug and possible side effects criminals are criminals. They volunteered to break the law, thought they were above the law or the law doesn't apply to them. Drug dealers or distributors are not the kid walking down the street with a 1/4 of plastic sandwich bag filled with pot.

He can do that now via EO...he still has emergency powers and can bypass Congress.

They didn't define "simple" though.

I see "simple" is defined by the states. In SC it's 28 grams

On purpose. It's mid term trolling so they only message they want is pot offenses pardoned and closer to federal legalization.

Finally something I can get behind the Biden administration for. But they know that we know it's a vote grab.

In the culture of pot smokers they're martyrs. But back to the word simple. Heard one report all pot related offenses. Too early for details but it doesn't matter when pandering for midterms. Some of this will go the way of the student loan foregiveness.

Drug dealers and distributors even at the local level enable the gangs and cartels the bribe, kill, smuggle and traffic other stuff and people. They are part of criminal culture no matter how it's minimized.

And just like the student loan forgiveness it's unfair to those that did/completed their time with little complaint because many understood what they did was a crime. Others yes the victim card will be part of their persona and will be continuously played.

I agree. I don't have a problem with the move--in fact, I applaud it--but let's not act like this is something greater than it is. Context matters here.
