Bestselling fantasy author and “House of the Dragon” executive producer George R.R. Martin is caught in the crossfire of the heated battle over inclusive casting — and some of his fans are calling for a boycott of his upcoming book due to comments by its coauthors.
I don't care about this type of thing on a fantasy show, but me and most of my liberal friends love GoT. Not sure if you are trying to say that it's a show geared toward conservatives? LOL
House of Dragons seems to have a pretty diverse cast and there's also a same-sex love affair going on... anyone who is going to be offended in either direction (too much diversity or too little diversity) is putting too much thought into this, IMO.
The funny thing is people into GOT are obsessive, super fan, nerds. They are going to go into withdrawal trying to quit this. I had the misfortune to stay with somebody for a short while that had a dorky roommate. He would watch GOT and explained every character and relationship on the movie. He was so serious about it. I wasn't that into it.
The thing is though after each show he would quiz me on it. If I got the answers wrong we had to rewatch the last episode before we could move on. That was a long dark winter.
