Plenty of room in the middle. Dems have moved way left and Pubs have moved way right.
Lots of people are looking for a middle ground, but she'll have to be quick. Two years isn't very long to get something major like another party established.
Very well said. Hopefully more shot-and-a-beer types in Pittsburgh, etc. catch on to the things that she mentioned. Though I've been waiting for that to happen for too long now.
"I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.
I believe in a government that is of, by, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite. I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me."
Boy, she just said a mouthful there, didn't she?
It took her some time to get it, but better late than never.
Somewhere in the beltway, Kamala Harris is saying “I thought so! I thought she wasn’t a real democrat!”
I give Tulsi props for lots of things but her takedown of Harris in the democratic debates was epic and goes down as my favorite move of hers.
Sadly, by damaging Harris who was the front runner, she opened the lane for dementia Joe.
Can I forgive her? Yes, she is one tough politician and I look forward to her next move. I think she should be an independent—Bernie does it, why not her.
I’ve followed Tulsi for a few years now. Was appalled at how the D party treated her — even calling her a Russian asset— good grief she served in our military!!
Tulsi is what the democrat party used to be when I was a democrat for 3 decades.
She is a national hero and I hope other sane democrats (if there are any left) follow in her footsteps.
